Two of them, this morning in the fog. Heard something indecipherable, wandered through the dark house and peeked out the back door just in time to hear them again and see two big dark silhouettes sweeping away to the woods near the house. They must have been sitting in the big tree out back that has branches stretching over the house.

Owls are so beautiful. I read somewhere that if an owl visits you, you are blessed. Doubly in your case!
