I'm dying to know what the green yarn is... I can't quite see the label in the pic...
If I might be permitted to jump in here, it's the now discontinued Rowanspun Chunky.
Thanks for your comment on my SPT post. I agree that the Mary Poppins book (I've only read the first) is much better and more stinging than the film.Our hens are cross-breeds - nothing fancy - with some Rhode Island Red in there. They are bred to be hardy and good layers - and it works.
